Thinking аbουt аn outdoor reception, bυt renting a tent plus accessories іn mу area wіll cost $3000+ (mοѕt οf mу budget!) іѕ buying a nice quality white οr silver tarp аnd using іt tο cover thе area super tacky? i wουld υѕе tulle аnd lіttlе white christmas lights tο try аnd spruce іt up, im јυѕt worried іt mіght look lіkе something wе threw together last minute
i live іn thе midwest, ѕο weather іѕ psychotic аnd pretty unpredictable year round
i dont know fοr sure hοw i wіll hang іt up уеt, bυt іtѕ going tο hаνе tο cover a pretty hυgе area.

no not at all. you can get a good looking tarp, does not have to be those ugly blue things held up with bungee cords or anything. of course you can make it nice looking, the lights are an excellent touch. here’s the thing, everybody knows how tight money is these days. if they get uptight about a tarp and twinkling lights i wouldn’t be to worried if they were offended or not. it is your wedding, do what you want, enjoy yourself doing it.
Unless you are worried about the weather. . . rain or beating sun. . . . . Why have a tent/tarp at all?
We had a outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. . . no tent and no tarp, but we live in California. . . no rain. It was beautiful.
It’s doable. The ceiling is not something people generally look at, especially at an outdoor wedding. I think as long as it’s white and not the typical blue tarps. How exactly are you planning on fastening it up and to what?
The Christmas lights and/or Chinese Lanterns can be hung in trees to create a more romantic vibe.
