A good and very informative vid. Our preferences vary greatly. I tend to lean towards synthetic with a fleece liner. Weight isn’t alway’s the great evil when it comes to an over all complete and effiecient sleep system.
Also, imparting moisture into your sleeping pad, by way of exhaling into it, contains moisture and ads to the deficiency of the pad. At times it’s unavoidable, but the pad should also be left to air out in the ‘open’ position to emit this trapped or contained moisture.

Yeah, Slumberjack or Coleman might claim to have their stuff rated to X degree. . . . but it’s a total joke. Thanks for pointing that out, so someone doesn’t make the same mistake to save a few bucks that I did a couple years back.

I had a trip where it poured everyday on a 6 day trip through BC. I know the only I made it through was because bag was synthetic, and kept me warm even while wet. Miserable but still one of my favorites trip go figure. I did break down and buy a 40 deg down REI halo for summer. its a nice bag. For going light you cant beat that MSR reactor with a AMK emergency bivvy
