@thefunkeyplanet . . . . yes, it was well said. . . i only wish i had said it !! Maybe someday the person who wrote that will read this and claim it, but until then i thought it was appropriate. . . . especially when applied to this song!!
@dirtyedna Just like to say that I agree with your comment. Absolutely true and well said. Disco went underground, had a baby and called house music. One of the best statements I have heard on YouTube for a long time.
Quite Simply, a banging tune! Top notch Jazzy Dance Music from 1981, 1982 for the Jazz Dancer to the time and still so today. BLOODY FIRST CLASS! BLOODY BRILLIANT! The scene is reborn! Amen!
OMG! GO BANG! Go Bonkers! This bomb ass track was sheer madness at the Loft and the Garage. I would wipe the floor with myself when they played this shit.
Those were the days.

That was the time I was dancing at the Loft in 1992. I had already bought the record by someone’s recommendation before I went there . At that time,I was like ,,,put myself back to reality when the No-Sound came between tracks. I thought the time was like a hour that Go bang was going for.
But ,,You know,,I went to another world,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I can still remember the first Friday night Larry played this at PG, it was in the spring of 83 and the theme for that night was the beach: they had a lifeguard’s chair in the club which I was dancing in when Go Bang came on and they turned the fans on and the crowd of young energetic dancers went into a frenzy. Before narcotics music was the drug.
I remember when we performed this song live at The Garage on the 4th of July. The club heard the song but never saw the artists who performed on it and the went wild!!!
Not house music, not yet, not in 82. It is progressive dance music, still to energized and advanced for even today’s crowd, but in the spring of 1983 when Larry Levan first played this at the Garage the crowd went into a dance trance – with music like this we didn’t need drugs. I was 19 and a dance floor queen.
@buggeazy102 LMAO!!! That’s if you could go to sleep after all that . . I remember heading to the beach or having breakfast at that wild place called Tiffany’s
