I would hope very much that their mother loves them as her own and that they will stay with her, far more traumatic for all involved to be separated at this stage. If they didn’t share a life together while being held well, that’s a different scenario and I suspect that would involve way more people. In a way it’s almost impossible to speculate as these situations are so far apart from the norm for us and yet for them it has become the norm.
The news stated they would remain in her care. Why? Do you think the state will take them? She has family support now that she is home.
This girl has already been through hell. Taking those two girls away from her would be additional cruelty. She has spent years bonding with them. I think Jaycee should get a 10 million dollar check from the government so that she can spend the rest of her life as she chooses.
I think the man and woman kidnappers should die a cruel painful death.

This young woman is finally with her own family, as are her precious innocent children. They will need years of therapy to try to repair the damage the monsters did to them. Of course they will stay with Jaycee’s family, that is the best place for them to be, to try and begin the healing process.
They all will stay gother and receive huge amounts of counceling care together. Imagine as the child you know you are the product of a rapist. That in it self is horrible.
There is NO reason whatsover to take them away from mom, especially after what they have been through
I imagine that will be up to her. She likely has bonded with the kids. . . despite how they were conceived. So she may want to keep them. But it also depends on her own state of mind. She is probably quite traumatized by all this, so may not be in any condition to care for them right now. That may require them going in to foster care. We’ll just have to wait and see. It’s a terribly tragic story.
They are her kids. Why would they be going to an orphanage?

Local law enforcement/ judicial system utterly screwed up with this—I mean over a period of years. If that family is smart, they’ll get a HUGE media-savvy lawyer and sue the hell out of locals and/or state so that the psychs, physicians, and specialists that will be necessary can be fully available to this young woman and her two girls. And, oh by the way, why did this scumbag EVER get out of jail to begin with? He was sexual predator and should have been locked up FOREVER a LONG TIME AGO!
Those girls will require ongoing, perpetual support, in a multitude of ways. Pray for them.

I am sure they will stay together. As for the story overall, it would not be the first family to begin with rape. Not to condone it. Garido is God’s Gift to Woman and therefore everything he does is luv. The police are investigating the possibility his luv led to murder, which is not improbable. But as for Jaycee Lee and her kids, it seems to have devolved into an old fashioned rigid paternalistic family. It is heart-warming to figure that these young girls, looking out from their shells, might not have dared to hope that they could one day be part of the busy world of the UC campus. Poppa has served his purpose and at 58 is bit long in the tooth anyway. They will probably visit him in prison–assuming he doesn’t get death. Then there is his wife. Was she also on the receiving end of the sex slavery? Or what kind of woman indulges her husband in this way? Garrido said at the outset it would be a fascinating story. I really think we, as news readers, are additional slaves of his, consuming his hippie garbage at the expense of important news. It is a peep show.

Why would they be sent to an orphanage/social workers? They have a family. Just because their mother was the victim of kidnapping and rape and they are victims of the erratic behavior of the criminal that fathered them, does not mean they can not remain with their mother.
I think that the entire family will need a lot of counseling, but I do not think they will end up in state custody. Why victimize them more?
