    @teddytarp Keep in mind, Teddy, that someone charging money for such a hike would have to carry insurance, even if said hike took place in National Forest. My suggestion to those planning a thru hike is to find a gear list online, pack, take an over nighter. See what you’re missing, or what didn’t work for you. Then, go again, for several days, doing about 7-10 miles a day. Thats the shakedown. Basically, then get out there and do it.

    I wonder if there would be a market for a camp/hike/mostly teaching experience for
    newbies, maybe 2-3 days long, who want to build some confidence for a thru hike.
    A group of 10-12 possibly. . . . . Just a thought.
