If you know how to set a tent correctly and are used to the weather conditions then you should be set, if you cant set a tent. . . . . . stay home
    or learn. . .

Well, its probably not the tent I would buy. . .
Keep in mind – sleeping bags and tents are different things. Especially for smaller companies, doing one right does not necessarily mean they will do the other well.

(Our Scout troop is tending mostly towards Hennessy Hammocks. . . All the adult leaders have them, and about half the boys have their own by this point. )

with regard to reviews about the tent you bought – I give pretty good credence to reviews I see on backpacker. com (source below) and the reviewers that wrote in didn’t seem very favorably impressed. Its not an *awful* tent – but its not going to be a great tent by any stretch of the imagination.

Don’t know if you plan to backpack/hike with this tent or not. It should be adequate for ‘car-camping’ which is a pretty good way to get your feet wet for getting back to the woods.
